How to Use This Generator
Quick Start:
- Upload Image - Choose a high-contrast photo (portraits work great!)
- Select Shape - Flat for wall art, Cylinder for lamps
- Adjust Settings - Use presets for quick setup or fine-tune manually

Print Settings:
- Material: White or light-colored PLA/PETG
- Layer Height: 0.1-0.15mm (finer = better detail)
- Infill: 100% (critical for light transmission)
- Print Speed: 30mm/s (slower = smoother layers)
- Orientation: Print vertically for best layer alignment
Tips:
- High contrast images produce the best results
- Use Negative (inverted) mode for backlit lithophanes
- Enable Two-Color Frame for professional multi-material prints
- Lamp Mode great for desk lamps, Nightlight Mode for kids' rooms

What is a lithophane?
A 3D-printed relief image that reveals itself when backlit. Varying thickness creates shading.
Tips:
- High contrast images work best
- Use "Invert" (Positive/Negative mode) if your print looks inverted
- Close caps for free-standing cylinders
- 0.5mm resolution is ideal for most prints
- Thinner min thickness = brighter highlights

Recommended:
- Layer height: 0.1-0.2mm
- 100% infill
- No supports needed
- White or light-colored filament
