File Preparation Tools Essential
These tools get your 3D models ready for printing. Use them after downloading models or before opening in your slicer.
Format Converter
WHY use this?
Your slicer software (Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura) only accepts certain file types. If you download a model in the wrong format, you can't open it. This tool converts between formats instantly.
WHEN to use it?
Right after downloading a 3D model, before trying to open it in your slicer. Check what format your slicer needs first!
HOW it works
Upload your file → Select output format (STL, OBJ, 3MF, etc.) → Click Convert → Download converted file → Open in slicer
Mesh Repair
WHY use this?
Downloaded models can have invisible flaws: holes in surfaces, reversed faces, or gaps. These cause your slicer to show errors or create failed prints. This tool automatically fixes these defects.
WHEN to use it?
When your slicer shows warnings like "not manifold", "non-watertight", or if the 3D preview looks weird with missing faces or holes.
HOW it works
Upload broken model → Tool scans for errors → Automatic repair → Download fixed version → Test in slicer
Mesh Optimizer
WHY use this?
High-detail models can have millions of triangles, making your slicer slow or even crash. This tool reduces file size by simplifying the geometry while keeping the visible detail.
WHEN to use it?
When your file is huge (50MB+), your slicer is lagging, or you want faster slicing times. Not needed for models that already load quickly!
HOW it works
Upload large model → Set reduction percentage (keep 25% for aggressive, 75% for gentle) → Download optimized version
Geometry Analyzer
WHY use this?
Before wasting 8 hours and expensive filament, check if your model is actually printable! This tool finds overhangs, thin walls, and other geometry that will fail or need heavy supports.
WHEN to use it?
Before your first print of any model, especially complex ones with intricate details. Helps you decide if you need to rotate the model or add supports.
HOW it works
Upload model → Tool analyzes geometry → Get report on overhangs, thin walls, sharp angles → Make adjustments before printing
Creative Generators Popular
Create unique 3D models from scratch using photos, text, or simple shapes. No 3D modeling skills required!
Lithophane Generator
WHY use this?
Turn your favorite photos into magical 3D prints that reveal the image when backlit. Darker areas print thicker (block light), lighter areas print thinner (let light through). Makes incredible gifts!
WHEN to use it?
When you want to create a personalized gift (wedding photo, baby picture, pet portrait) or decorative nightlight. Best with high-contrast photos!
HOW it works
Upload photo → Choose shape (flat, curved, cylinder, lamp) → Adjust thickness and size → Download STL → Print in white/translucent filament
QR Code Generator
WHY use this?
Create physical QR codes as keychains, business cards, or signage. People can scan them with their phones to visit your website, WiFi network, social media, or contact info.
WHEN to use it?

WHY use this?
Create raised 3D text for signs, name tags, labels, logos, or decorations. Much easier than learning CAD software just to make text!
WHEN to use it?
Room signs, desk nameplates, product labels, organizational storage labels, or custom gift tags.
HOW it works
Type your text → Choose font → Set height/depth → Optional: add curved or arched layout → Download and print
SVG Extrusion Generator
WHY use this?
Turn 2D logos, icons, or graphics into 3D models. Perfect for business logos, team emblems, or custom decorations. Supports multi-color for details!
WHEN to use it?
When you have a 2D logo/icon (SVG format) and want to make it 3D for signage, badges, or branding materials.
HOW it works
Upload SVG file → Set extrusion depth (how tall) → Choose single or multi-color → Download 3MF → Print with your logo in 3D!
ColorStack Generator
WHY use this?
Create stunning multi-layer relief art from photos. Like lithophanes, but uses color changes at different heights instead of translucency. Great for wall art!
WHEN to use it?
For decorative wall plaques, artistic displays, or photo-to-3D art projects. Best with multi-material printers (AMS, MMU).
HOW it works
Upload image → Choose number of layers (2-8 colors) → Set layer heights → Download multi-color 3MF → Print with filament swaps
Height Map Terrain Generator
WHY use this?
Create 3D topographic maps from grayscale images. Dark = valleys, light = peaks. Perfect for geographic terrain, game boards, or educational models.
WHEN to use it?
For tabletop gaming terrain, geography education, or printing real-world locations (mountains, coastlines). Get height maps from USGS or Google Earth.
HOW it works
Upload grayscale height map → Set max height and base thickness → Download STL → Print your terrain!
Multi-Color Printing Tools Advanced
For printers with multi-material systems (Bambu AMS, Prusa MMU, etc.). Convert textured models or create AI-generated models with automatic color separation.
Texture Splitter
WHY use this?
You found a colored/textured 3D model online, but it's all one piece. This tool automatically separates the model by color so you can print it in multiple filaments without painting!
WHEN to use it?
When you have a textured OBJ or GLB file and want to print it in 2-4 colors using AMS/MMU. Saves hours of manual color separation!
HOW it works
Upload textured model → Tool finds dominant colors → Assigns to 2-4 filament slots → Download 3MF → Open in Bambu Studio or PrusaSlicer
